Pickleball Research is committed to accuracy and transparency. We compile data from a variety of publicly available and third-party sources to provide comprehensive pickleball information. This page details our data sources and how we use them.
1. Our Data Sources
We gratefully acknowledge the following sources that make our research possible:
- PPA Tour (ppatour.com) — Tournament results, player rankings, and match data from the Professional Pickleball Association tour.
- DUPR (mydupr.com) — Player ratings and ranking data from the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating system.
- SFIA (sfia.org) — Player population statistics and participation data from the Sports & Fitness Industry Association.
- USA Pickleball (usapickleball.org) — Official rules, equipment standards, and sanctioned tournament data from the national governing body.
- APP Tour (theapp.global) — Tournament data and results from the Association of Pickleball Professionals tour.
- JohnKew Pickleball — Independent paddle testing data including spin, power, and pop measurements.
- Pickleball Effect — Paddle specifications, independent testing results, and performance data.
- The Dink (thedinkpickleball.com) — News, analysis, and coaching content from the pickleball media outlet.
- Crawford Lindsey / Tennis Warehouse University — Spin science research, string and surface interaction studies, and racquet/paddle physics analysis.
2. How We Use This Data
We compile, analyze, and present data from these sources to create a comprehensive pickleball research platform. Our use includes:
- Compilation: Aggregating data from multiple sources into a unified, searchable format
- Analysis: Performing statistical analysis, trend identification, and comparative studies
- Presentation: Creating visualizations, interactive tools, and educational content based on source data
- Attribution: Clearly crediting the original source for all data used throughout the platform
All cross-sport data (e.g., statistics originating from tennis, table tennis, or other racquet sports) is clearly attributed to its sport of origin throughout the Site.
3. Attribution Requirements
If you cite data, statistics, or analysis from Pickleball Research in your own work, we ask that you provide proper attribution by linking back to pickleball-research.com and, where applicable, the original data source. A suggested citation format:

4. Restrictions
The following activities are prohibited without prior written permission from Riven Arc LLC:
- Scraping: Automated collection or harvesting of data from the Site using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools
- AI Training: Using data from the Site to train, fine-tune, or develop machine learning models or artificial intelligence systems
- Commercial Redistribution: Republishing, reselling, or redistributing our compiled data, analysis, or visualizations for commercial purposes
- Bulk Download: Systematically downloading or copying substantial portions of the Site's data or content
Limited, non-commercial use with proper attribution (as described in Section 3) is permitted. For commercial licensing inquiries, please contact us.
5. Reporting Errors
We strive for accuracy in all data we present. If you notice any errors, outdated information, or missing attributions, please let us know so we can correct them promptly:
